Example peers with "download" links

What other cultural heritage “digital collections” sites offer download links to download video files?

We are especially interested in download links for what appear to be in-copyright third-party materials. (Not always sure which examples are third parties with no relationship).

Texas Digital Archives

Possibly offers download links for all videos.

Civil Rights Digital Library, University System of Georgia

  • one example: http://crdl.usg.edu/do:ugabma_wsbn_wsbn37664

    • Click vertical three dots in lower right of video screen for download option.

    • “Original found in the WSB-TV newsfilm collection”, “Rights and Usage: http://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/”

Brown Media Archive Newsfilm Database, University of Georgia

The Internet Archive

  • North Carolina Digital Heritage Center collected hosted at IA

      • Download options in right-hand sidebar

      • 1968 Chamber of Commerce film, noted as "copyright not evaluated"

  • “Ephemeral Films” at IA

    • Download options in right-hand sidebar, “H.264 “ is an MP4

    • 1960, Walt Disney Productions

Claremont Colleges Digital Library

Possibly offers download links for all videos.

  • eg

    • See download icon at top of right sidebar

    • “All rights are retained by The Drucker Institute. For permission to use this item, contact The Drucker Institute”

    • But this might not really be unrelated third-party content

Library of Congress

offers download links for some videos, but it looks like not all, not clear to me what distingusihes.

  • eg

    • “Hesston Corp., 1969”

    • Open “Rights & Access” accordion: “The Library of Congress is not aware of any U.S. copyright or other restrictions in the vast majority of motion pictures in these collections. Absent any such restrictions, these materials are free to use and reuse… Rights assessment is your responsibility… The written permission of the copyright owners in materials not in the public domain is required for distribution, reproduction, or other use of protected items beyond that allowed by fair use or other statutory exemptions.”
