Google Analytics

Digital Collection Web Application analytics are collected on a monthly basis.

Access data tracking sheets at P:\Othmer Library\Digital Collections - Internal Access\Analytics\Google Analytics

The metrics we track include:

  • Sessions

  • Users

  • Page Views

  • JPEG Downloads

  • Original Downloads

  • PDF Downloads

  • ZIP Downloads

  • Views

  • OH Transcript Views

  • Top 20 Viewed Pages

  • Top 10 Landing Pages

To access the data:

  1. Log in to Google Analytics at https://analytics.google.com through a Google Account associated with your Science History email address. Contact Clare Hirai, the Institute’s Webmaster, to be added to the account.

  2. Select Reports > Digital Collections

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, select the date range of the previous month

Rights and Reproduction Data Exports

Rights and Reproductions statistics are collected on a monthly basis.

Access data tracking sheets at P:\Othmer Library\Digital Collections - Internal Access\Analytics\Rights and Reproductions

To make an export

  1. Login to the support portal by selecting Agent Login

  2. Navigate to Tickets > Reports

  3. Select Exports in the left-hand menu, then Create Export

  4. Modify the time range to the month desired, then select Next

  5. Change the category filter to “Othmer Library Requests,” then select the data you would like to include in your export (see below)

  6. Export your data as a CSV and copy it into the yearly spreadsheet saved at the file path above.
